You spoke, and we listened!

Over the last year, Senior Planet has been hard at work redesigning seniorplanet.org to better suit your needs. We spoke to participants and compiled the feedback you have shared with the hotline…and created a new and improved Senior Planet experience that will debut in the next couple of months.

What is Changing: 

For the first time, seniorplanet.org will support the creation of user accounts. These accounts will let you personalize your Senior Planet experience. You will be able to save upcoming classes you’re interested in, view recordings of classes you register for, save articles and videos for future reference, and more. As a bonus, these new accounts will work for Senior Planet Community too! 

Not a fan of accounts? Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to register for and join programs, read articles, and view resources without one. 

Helpful New Features

Some other features we’re excited about:  

• Reminders to notify you when programs are about to begin or are canceled 

• Improved “Add to Calendar” feature that now supports Outlook and includes Zoom links 

• The ability to browse and filter by topic (like Creativity and AI) 

• Program recommendations based on your interests 

• Improved search function (no more past classes!) 

• A refreshed look and feel that embodies our motto: Aging with Attitude™ 

What is Staying the Same:  

Our commitment to designing something by and for older adults has not changed. Though we’re adding new features, many of our design principles (like large text and clutter-free webpages) will stay the same.  

Many people also shared that they like how the website is laid out. The new site will have a similar layout and navigation, so you will still be able to find what you are looking for! 

Where Can I Get Support? 

A week before the site launches, we’ll be running classes to preview what the new site will look like in detail and walk through some of the new features. The Senior Planet Hotline will also be available to answer any questions and help you create an account.
